Neer Family

Hello!!Friends and Family!!I am so excited to be writing you as I am finally getting my very own blog up and going!!I hope to keep you updated on all the goings ons in the Neer family w/ pictures and all our important news and events.I have attempted doing a blog before but had trouble getting my pictures posted so hopefully I'll be more successful w/ this one.HAAAh...Let's See,where to start?
I'll start by talking about Owen.Owen is almost 9 mos old and cut his first tooth on Sunday and it appears that there is another buddy growing in right beside it now.Finally!!I was starting to wonder if we were going to need x-rays done to see if he actually had any teeth lying under those gums.Owen is growing by leaps and Bounds.He had started standing on his own for about 10-20 seconds about a month ago.He has attempted to take steps while standing on his own but usually results in a tumultuous fall. PoorGuy!1It makes him furious!!He has also been crawling since about 7 1/2 mos and he walks around furniture or whatever he can hold onto to get around. He's been doing this for about a month now. He has lots of expressions now as you'll see in all those wonderful pictures that I've vowed to faithfully post of him.He makes a really cute motor boat noise. I think Evanrude would be a fitting name. I hope that I spelled that right?!!Owen reminds me of Avery at his age in a lot of ways b/c of how active he is.He likes to be on the move at all times now.I've noticed he's slimmed down a little since being able to crawl and walk holding onto stuff now. Everyone has commented on how long he is and I'm sad to see his cute little sausage legs slimming. Owen will be going for his 9 mo check up on Tues. Shots!1Ouch!!But, this will be all for a little while.He has been a very heathy baby so far. No ear infections, hospitalizations or any major illnesses that required long term medicine or treatment. He had a little stomach virus for a day not so long ago but that has been the biggest thing that I can remember. He has a right eye tear duct that has been a little clogged since he's been born but is looking much better.We have been treating it as instructed by his physician and hope for good news on it by the pediatrician.Pray for that if you think of it, please!!

Avery will be 5 on June 17 and is already claiming that as her real age now.She graduates from Preschool on May 18th. She goes to First Baptist Church in Raytown and loves it!!Her preschool is called Little Learners. She has made many friends and will be sad to leave them. Her best friends areKailey and Emma.She likes to live vicariously through them at times!!Avery is excited to be in Kindergarten also.We are working on teaching her how to read as that is her passion. She keeps telling me that I need to teach her before Kindergarten so that she can read all her favorite books to her new friends she meets at school.Avery has memorized all her ABeka books from school. She calls them "Rebecca"books, though!!
Avery has been taking gymnastics for about 1yr and a half now and loves it, too.She has made several friends in her class. Her friends are Emily, Keira and Jonnessa. She has a small class w/ only 5 girls including her. She walks the beam,does backbends,cartwheels, crunches and the splits as well as many other feats.She goes to Great American Gymnastics Express in B.S. and they just opened up their brand new huge building next to the old one about 3 mos ago.It is about 5 times bigger than the old building!!
