Snow Fun

Hey,everybody!!Here's pictures of our first big snow!!The kids were stir crazy to get out and have fun in the snow!!They were bundled like Eskimos and were only out for about 15 min.Owen kept standing at the door saying'Side,Side!!It was soo cute!!When we came in he was devastated and threw himself at the threshold of the door moaning "Side,Side!! We did the classic snow angels and built a snowman which surprisingly lasted until the snow was almost all melted completely!!

Once again, we have been busy around the Neer house and haven't been able to post as often but please keep checking as w/ the snow back again,we will be spending much more time indoors catching up on this stuff!!


Avery has been enjoying Kindergarten very much this year.Her teacher,Ms Rigoli says she is reading lots of second grade books now and has written and illustrated several of her own books.She says that she wants to be a writer and illustrator.We love seeing her come up w/ new titles and watching her sketches change!!She is also very fascinated w/ ballerinas which have been the subject of lots of her books.She got several 12 Dancing Princesses for christmas and practices mock shows w/ them.She has a Bella Dancerella set that she practices w/.HMMM..looks like ballet lessons are in the future!!

Owen is non stop action now!!He loves to study the mechanics of everything.One of his favorites isour vacuum cleaner.He will sit cross legged on the floor just enamored w/ it.He pets it,drags it around and takes to his room and take it apart.Owen and the vacuum cleaner are inseparable at this point.He has also figured out how to wedge his pudgy little fingers between the outlet covers and the outlet and pop them out after a long period of tenacious work.He has figured out how to undo several of his straps and locks to his stroller, highchairs, etc.He can also wriggle out of quite a few things,too.He knows how to turn the stereo, tv and dvd player on simultaneously usually at a volume of about 40.Although,Owen is normally non stop, his usual spunky self has been slowed down w/a case of strep but thanks to Rocephin he's up and running again.He had fever,vomiting diarrhea over the last 5 days.It's always scary seeing your little baby so lethargic and tired so we were anxious to have him back to his usual self again.It's times like these when we swear we'll never complain about him being so busy and active!!
